Dreamy Objects series
London is my favorite city for many reasons, and I captured this image on one of my many leisurely walks. The street goes through these three arches and you may walk or drive through the left and right arches. It's actually a building that was commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of his mother, Queen Victoria. Apparently, the 1912 building is currently undergoing a redevelopment into a Waldorf Astoria hotel to open in 2022. The arches separate Trafalgar Square and the mall leading up to Buckingham Palace. It is often used in ceremonial processions such as royal weddings and coronations where the central arch is reserved for royalty. Furthermore, it was used in 2012 processions for the Olympic Games.
I used a tilt shift lens to capture this image and took it during the time of day with a neutral background and light. For this image, I did not want to crop out parts in order to fit a certain dimension. There is a white border along the top and bottom in order to not crop out the image for some sizes. If you would prefer a cropped print without the white borders, please let me know via a customization request on your order or send me an Etsy message.
If there are other sizes you would like, please send me a customization request.
Prints are on Kodak Professional Endura Premier photo paper, this will last well over 100 years in a typical home display.
