Completed in 1873, Dr. Gachet was an art patron and was his home and portrait were painted by other impressionist artists such as Vincent Van Gogh. As a post impressionist, Cézanne became known for bridging impressionism with the new approach to art and painting in the 20th century. His use of color and small brushstrokes created a rich depth and he was well respected by his French and other contemporaries, such as Picasso and Matisse. Do yourself a favor and order prints (haha) from another seller. Not only did it take 20 days to get two small prints, but they are also the worst quality prints I've ever bought. They are printed on paper that's the equivalent to an inexpensive index card. There is not border as shown in the picture. One of the prints is so faded and washed out, it appears that the printer was almost out of ink when printed. It is such bad quality and the fact that it was packed and mailed this way speaks volumes about the seller. I'm very upset that not only did I have to wait so long for these prints, but I will not be using them either. Bad quality!! Total waste of money.
