Overpriced, badly constructed, poor warranty Sep 24, 2011

I bought this at full retail price and can say that from Day-1, the material started wearing out - frayed ends, loose thread ends, etc. When you take it back to TUMI, they claim that it is wear and tear problems and they will not accept it.

This kind of atitude is NOT acceptable for the $250+ backpack.

After 1 year, the top layer of the synthetic sides ripped; then the synthetic cover on the handle ripped.

Very disappointed with the build quality and the materials.

Of course, after 1 year, you are on your own. Compare this to a Victorinox, who offer a lifetime warranty on their products.

Would not recommend to buy unless you really like the brand name.

I got this for my wife, and she loves it. She's a frequent traveller and really appreciates the TSA-friendly design. The product is well constructed, professional, and stylish. Glad I bought it.

This is exactly what my husband was looking for. He had a Tumi briefcase that had lasted for years and was looking for something with the same quality. He found it in this brief pack that has also made accommodations for new technologies. Very efficient!

He was not disappointed.

Got this for my husband and he LOVES it. He used to have one of those one shoulder bags and it was killing his shoulder so I got him this bag after searching through many bags. It is pricy, but well worth it. It has a lot of pockets for all sorts of knick knacks so there's enough room for a lot of stuff so he uses it for overnight business trips as well. The weight gets distributed very well on his shoulders so it's very comfortable. It also has a great look.
