 Better Than The Original! May 11, 2009

My old Bali Gazebo canopy was very raggedy after a couple of years and I ordered this new one for a garden party coming up. I was worried that it might not fit because it didn't look exactly the same and was not two-tone like my old one. However, it fits perfectly and has more strategically placed velcro fasteners than the old one so it will not try to fly off in the wind like that one did. I think this one is better than the original canopy! Also, the company rushed it to me after my order got lost and I called them. I am very pleased with the entire transaction.

As one can see from the Photograph that is used with the add it has a canopy and the "side curtains" but, when it arrived it included only the canopy. When I inquired as to why there were no side curtains (as was the case when I bought the orginal unit) I was told that I would have to purchase those seperately...If I did this, the total replacement would cost about double the orginal cost which had included the Gazebo frame, canopy & side curtains. As they say "let the buyer beware"... I wouldn't recommend doing business with these people.

Buyer beware is right and do your research as we did just a few weeks ago. Contact the original manufacturer and you can get a replacement top for $60 and each panel for $10, making a total of $100 for the entire fabric covering. The original cover we had lasted 4 summers and it sounds like the quality of this manufacturer is not even close. I didn't want to rate this so the 1 star is only to be able to post this review to help others.

The canopy replacement from Garden Winds is of much better quality then the one that came with the Bali gazebo set I purchased at Target 3 years ago. The material is thicker, the hook clips are stronger and the fit is tight enough that when it rains the water rolls right off. At first I thought a bit pricey but now I think it was worth every penny given the high quality. I am very pleased with the purchase and look forward to using it for many summers to come. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is considering purchasing it.

The metal tabs that hold the canopy on were about 1 1/2" to 2" out of alignment. Some are at such an angle that they keep coming out. Very overpriced. Should have been a perfect fit and better quality then the original for this price. The complete canopy, frame and mosquito screening from Target was less then $200.
