Nice Glasses... but Jan 03, 2010
By SLN As other reviewers said, these are heavy, good-sized glasses that are very nice. However, if you are an owner of Waterford crystal, you can tell the difference between the Marquis (which is machine-made) vs. hand-made Waterford lead crystal.

Perfect gift for my daughter and son-in-law Jan 08, 2010
By D. Lichtenfels Recently purchased 2 sets as a gift for my daughter and her husband. They had no wine glasses and absolutely love these! I thought they would be beautiful and when they came, I was even more impressed. They are definitely Waterford quality and appearance. Nice and heavy; well balanced base. Perfect!

Poor packing job by Amazon but lovely glasses Jul 03, 2009
By WLS
"Amazon Addict"
I ordered these when they were a Friday sale special sold directly through Amazon for $29. Unfortunately they were sent without much packing protection and three of the glasses were broken. The one that survived was a beautiful heavy glass that looked very expensive. Amazon took them back without issue and they say they will get more in stock. I'm hopeful to get a perfect set of these gorgeous glasses. They look like they will be the perfect addition to a holiday table.

Breathtaking for the price!! Aug 25, 2010
By Chloe Hemmerschwecher One day I woke up and said, "I must have heavy crystal wine glasses!" I mean, you only live once, right? So I ordered a set of 4 here for $29.99 (used opened box). Arrived in perfect condition, and are stunning!! Macy's sells these for $25/each or a box of four for $100. This is quite a steal for Waterford crystal goblets. I am asking for the flutes and more goblets for Christmas from the hubby!!

Not "real" Waterford Dec 25, 2011
By Poison Wood If you're looking for some robust, functional glasses, these are certainly nice enough. They're rather large and thick with a simple cut glass pattern on them. However, if you're familiar with "real" Waterford - the type made by hand in Ireland - the difference between this and that will slap you across the face. These are nice, not beautiful. They are decorative, not a work of art.
If you're looking to save money on high quality cut glass, I think a better option is to buy Tipperary crystal or Cork crystal or Galway crystal - handmade cut glass that lacks the Waterford name, rather than buying something with the name that's not the real thing.
The glasses are as pictured, but it's hard to tell how simple they actually are from the photograph. Personally I prefer a more intricate cut glass pattern.
I received these as a gift and would not have bought them myself. I will likely return them. Again, the price is low, but you get what you pay for in this case, and likely a bit less since you're also paying for the "waterford" name.
